Annual Audio Visual competition 2021

The first L&CPU event on the calendar takes place next Saturday and it is
the Annual Audio Visual competition.

This is your opportunity to see and enjoy some of the best AV sequences from members of L&CPU clubs.

This year we have received a record entry of 47 sequences from 14 clubs and the good news is that you don’t have to brave going out in the bad weather and travelling to watch the competition taking place ….the event is taking place on Zoom and is FREE!!

The entries have all been sent to the Judge Alastair Taylor ARPS CPAGB-AV
from the Midland Counties PF who will be making constructive comments on all entries.

The day will start at 10:15 am and run through to around 6 pm with a 45
minute break for lunch around 1pm. Short 10 minute breaks are also scheduled throughout the day.

To enable us to know numbers attending please register for FREE through
Eventbrite using the following link Only those who have registered will be admitted

The Zoom Link will be sent to all those who have registered next Friday
afternoon – 5th February.

The L&CPU Competition is being hosted by the Wilmslow Guild AV Group and Alastair will be giving a talk to the Group on the Friday evening.

Alastair will be exploring his approach to AV Production using some of his
productions such as “The Match”, “That Picture” and “Beyond the Wall” to
share his approach to script writing, work flow, soundtrack development,
image manipulation and the use of presentational software.

They are very kindly offering all entrants of the L&CPU AV Competition a
complimentary ticket to this Friday evening talk. To take up this offer please email webmaster@wilmslowguildav.org.uk by noon on Thursday 4th February to request your ticket.

If you know of any non-entrants who may also wish to attend the talk please ask them to book through the Wilmslow Guild at https://www.wilmslowguild.org/clubs-and-societies/-audio-visual-group-visitor-page-5th-february-2021/
