The Bob Robinson Trophy – Reminder

Attention all clubs – the next competition in the calendar is The Bob Robinson Trophy, with a club award plus an individual award for the best PDI.

The Competition is now open for entries
Closing date for entries is Sunday 17 September 2023

One Section: PDI
One Category: Open

The competition format has changed and will be run as a Knockout competition over several rounds; as images are knocked out of the competition, feedback will be given on the image.

Full details are included in the 2023 Rules

All club members are invited to attend the competition and hear the feedback given on the images entered; there is no cost to attend and sit in the audience, refreshments are provided during the break in proceedings (tea/coffee/biscuits).

LUNCH

The venue does not allow you to bring your own food onto the premises, although there are lots of places close by where you can buy your lunch you would have to find somewhere to eat your lunch.

However, there is an option to purchase a hot lunch which can be enjoyed in the venue; this will cost £10 and will consist of a main meal (a choice of hot pot or cheese & onion pie and chips) and dessert.

Tickets are available for you to purchase from the Portal; the final day for ordering food will be 17th September as I have to give the numbers to the chef at Elmbank

Bury PS opens its Annual Exhibition on June 17th 2023

Bury Photographic Society are pleased to announce that their Annual Exhibition will take place at the Bury Art Museum, Moss St, Bury, BL9 0DR. The Mayor of Bury will open the Exhibition on 17th June at 2 pm and will be open until 29th July. The Art Museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays but is open from 10 am to 5 pm on other days. The Art Museum is only 2 minutes’ walk from Bury Bus and Metrolink Station. The Exhibition consists of 150 prints and a video presentation of 75 more images.

Bury Photographic Society has been in existence since 1882 and this will be our 97th Annual Exhibition at the Bury Art Museum. The Society meets each Thursday evening at 7-45pm at the Fishpool Liberal Club, Nelson St, Bury, new members or guests are most welcome to attend our meetings.
