We are pleased to announce the success of our Annual Exhibition held again at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. The exhibition was opened by Master Landscape Photographer Paul Gallagher. L&CPU President Garth Tighe attended the opening evening along with guests from Photographic Clubs from throughout the North-West.

Wigan 10 win PAGB Annual Inter Club PDI Championship!

The PAGB held its Annual Inter Club PDI Championship at The University of Warwick on Saturday 16th July. Wigan 10 took first place with Chorley PS in 3rd place. Congratulations and well done to them both. It was an excellent day providing the opportunity to see many stunning images for an audience of some 350 people.
Wigan 10 member Rob Millin said, “Great event with so many fantastic images on display and the L&CPU again shining through……….. !! The PAGB sure know how to run this event and it is with no small thanks to our own Exec members who also work so tirelessly for the PAGB.”
PAGB win 33rd FIAP Mono Print Biennial – with L&CPU help!

The PAGB has won the 33rd FIAP Mono Print Biennial with a selection of sports images – including several from L&CPU members. As yet, no further details are available, we’ll publish them when we get them. In the meantime, click on the photo to see an enlarged version of the winning entry.
FIAP Results – L&CPU Members Success
The PAGB 2016 submission of applications for FIAP Distinctions was the largest by any country in the world, with a total of 110 successful applications. L&CPU club members who were successful are:

SONY PAGB Inter-Federation Competitions – Results Update
We now have the full results of the SONY PAGB Inter-Federation Competitions. As well as scoring two joint-firsts, a second and a joint third in the competitions, the following L&CPU club members gained awards:

Roll of Honour award for Howard Gregory
John Smith – Past President of the L&C – presenting the Roll of Honour award for Howard Gregory to Suzanne Gregory.
Howard’s name was added to the L&CPU Roll of Honour at the AGM in February for services to L&CPU clubs in giving talks and demonstrations on all things Audio – Visual and also for being one of the founder members and running the Wilmslow Guild Audio Visual Group for the past 23 years.

Poulton-le-Fylde celebrate their Golden Anniversary

Poulton-le-Fylde Photographic Society was formed 50 years ago after the town’s Festival Committee ran a photographic competition. They have just celebrated their Golden Anniversary with a dinner at Singleton Lodge. Guest speaker at the occasion was Roger Goodwill, a Life Member of the Society and previous head of the Photographic Department of Blackpool and the Fylde College. He is shown (left) in the photo with his wife Ann and Chairman Phil Hodson DPAGB EFIAP BPE1*.
