The High Peak Photography Club extends a warm invitation to all L&CPU members to participate in the Buxton Photo Challenge 2026, taking place on Sunday, 12th July 2026.
This event offers a refreshing creative exercise for photographers of all levels: the task is to capture 6 images in 6 hours, following 6 specific themes that will be revealed only on the day.
Event Logistics
- Registration: Between 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
- Venue: The Old Clubhouse, situated directly opposite the Buxton Opera House.
- Entry Fees: £5 for adults; £3.50 for those under 18.
- Booking: No prior booking is required; simply register in person on the morning of the event.
Equipment and Awards
Participants are welcome to use either a digital camera or a smartphone. If you are using a digital camera, please ensure you arrive with an empty memory card.
Prizes will be awarded for the best photograph in each of the six theme categories. It promises to be an engaging day of photography in the heart of Buxton, and a wonderful way to test your eye under a gentle time constraint.
