2nd & 3rd of March 2024
The 2024 Annual Club Competitions were held over two days at Elm Bank Conference Centre, Eccles.
Our judges for the weekend were Richard Spiers DPAGB, APAGB, HonPAGB, John Cartlidge APAGB, EFIAP/p, BPE5 and Howard Tate MA(Phot), ARPS, APAGB, AFIAP who did an absolutely fantastic job.
A big thank you to the executive, without these individuals the competitions just would not happen.

To all contributing clubs and their members for your support and to everyone associated with the L&CPU who continue to help make this event possible.
Day One – PDI Competition
Our judges scored a total of 801 images from 34 clubs; we opened the competition with nature, and the open category was judged after lunch.
Chorley PS won the Nature category with 104 points, Poulton le Fylde PS a very creditable 2nd place with 98 points and Wigan 10 Foto Club 3rd place with 97 points.
The Open category was won by Oldham PS with 200 points, Wigan 10 Foto Club close on their heels with 196 points and Chorley coming in 3rd place with 188 points.

PDI Club of the Year
Congratulations to Oldham PS, Wigan 10 Foto Club and Chorley PS who were the top-ranking clubs in the PDI section.

Day Two – Print Competition
There were 440 prints overall, from 19 clubs. The day began with the Open Colour category, followed by Nature and last (but not least) Mono.
Chorley PS shone again and won the open category, with 110 points, Southport PS followed closely with 103 points and North Cheshire PS brought up the rear with 99 points
The nature category was taken by Southport PS with 102 points, Chorley shared 2nd place with North Cheshire PS with 100 points.
Chorley PS won the Mono section with 109 points, Southport came in 2nd with 106 points and North Cheshire followed closely with 101 points.
Print Club of the Year
Congratulations to Chorley PS, Southport PS and North Cheshire PS who were the top ranking clubs in the Print section.
