With over 40 years experience as a professional photographer, Mark Gilligan is a Landscape Photographer based in the Lake District. He has immense experience in all aspects of photography, but his passion has always been to be out in the wilds of the Lake District taking pictures.
“A Bit Of A Journey” is an illustration of the power of light in landscape photography. The Lakes can claim some of the finest quality light to be found anywhere in the world and this talk illustrates the way in which light, in all its forms, can inject mood and drama into a landscape.
As a features writer for many magazines, he has his own photographic series in ‘Lake District Life’ and ‘Lancashire Life’, and his work regularly appears in the national and regional walking publications.
