‘I am sure that everyone in the L&CPU along with other federations within the PAGB would like to join with me in extending our congratulations and best wishes to Gordon Jenkins ,from the L&CPU ,in his term as the President of the PAGB.’ said Garth Tighe, current President of the L&CPU.

This afternoon, Chorley PS took top spot in the 2017 Annual Clubs Competition. Joint second place went to the Evolve Group and Warrington PS (who were mentioned many times throughout the competition!).
The entire competition ran rapidly and smoothly, thanks to the software systems produced by Adrian Lines, and the efforts of the ‘back room boys’ under the guidance of competition secretary Bob Robinson.
Today saw the DPI section of the Annual Clubs Competition won by Wigan 10. In the morning, Chorley PS took the lead, coming first in the open colour section, but after the morning break, Wigan 10 hit back, winning the mono section.
In the afternoon, Wigan 10 put on a superb display of nature images, with the result that they beat Chorley into second place with a score of 308 points to Chorley’s 304. Third place fell to North Cheshire PS on 290 points.
Annual Club Print and PDI Competitions are to be held over the weekend of 4th 5th March 2017.
The venue for this year’s competition is Lowton High School, Lowton.
This event will be open for all your club members to view the judging and join in the excitement on both days.
Prints entries, for your convenience can be handed-in on the morning of the first day of competition and then collected after Judging on the second day.
There was a good attendance of well over 60 people from 14 L&CPU clubs who, along with the President of the L&CPU, Garth Tighe, enjoyed seeing all the 36 sequences that had been entered into the competition.
Be advised that L&CPU treasurer Gordon Jenkins is currently in an enfeebled state of mind due to a virus condition, and was heard to utter the following from his sick-bed:
“Tell Ashton Under Lyne Ps, Alsager CC, Bebington PS, Burnley CC, Great Harwood CC, Heswall PS, Holmes Chapel Ps and Prestwich CC I will forgo the late penalty clause if receive a cheque for the full amount due by Friday 12th January, after that the Penalty clause will be invoked.”
