North Fylde P. S. – ‘Blackpool’ by Dawn Mander

The North Fylde Photographic Society (NFPS) is delighted to be welcoming another photographer with an impressive international portfolio who will be sharing her fascination with documenting life as lived every day on the streets of Blackpool:

A native of Blackpool, Dawn Mander has been pursuing street and documentary photography for over a decade, an ongoing project being ‘Documenting Blackpool’.  Dawn has had the distinction of being nominated for the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) 100 Heroines campaign celebrating women in photography.  She has had her work exhibited in the UK and overseas, is a Photovogue Italia contributor and has had many of her images used in advertising campaigns and on TV arts output.

With her roots remaining firmly in Blackpool, Dawn is a co-founder and curator at HIVEArts, an inclusive community space located at the heart of the town; anyone wanting to know more about this aspect of Dawn’s work should check the HIVEArts Facebook page.
