Big Day of Photography

Incorporating the Bob Robinson Trophy

Tickets are now available for the Big Day of Photography.

Tickets are £15 per person and can be booked via the Information Portal (you’ll find the link button just underneath the pictures at the top of the site). You may need to register to access the portal.

Once in, click on services and then buy event tickets. There is a limit on the number of tickets available, book early to avoid disappointment.

The official start to the day will be at 10am in the cinema on floor 4 with a welcome and keynote speaker.

Three models are available in three different locations, timed access will be in place to avoid areas being swamped with photographers. Exact timings will be published soon. There will also be a rotating series of lectures throughout the day by Permajet and Wilkinsons Cameras, the exact themes again will be published later but it is expected that Permajet will be looking at how to choose the best paper surface to suit the print and Wilkinson’s will be running a workshop on lighting rigs.

The Bob Robinson Trophy competition will also be running and prints can be brought in from 9:30 onwards. As usual, the prints will be open after the judging sessions have taken place and awards will be made at the closing session back in the cinema.

All photographic activity will take place on floor 4, floor 2 (Community room and café) and floor 1 for the Heritage centre (drinks and snacks, the engine house – model and the 1940’s room – model)

There will be signage to help you get around as well as a lift.

If you want to simply enter the Bob Robinson Trophy, a number of free tickets are available (booking as above) but these tickets will not allow access to the models or workshops.

Keep an eye open for further details on the web and Focal Points.

I look forward to an enjoyable day of Photography.
