Frodsham & District PS – Steel, Glass and Concrete by Mark Reeves

Frodsham & District Photographic Society invites you to join us in person for an inspiring architectural photography.

Mark Reeves’s talk Steel, Glass and Concrete is designed to entertain, inspire and inform anyone who is interested in the enormous photographic potential offered by modern buildings. 83% of the British population lives in towns and cities, meaning that it is a subject that almost all of us can pursue with ease and convenience.

This talk will explain the different approaches to photographing modern buildings, whether your interest is building portraits, decisive moments, abstracts or cityscapes.

Mark is a Wirral-based creative outdoor photographer and environmentalist. He is an active member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and was a founder member of the society’s specialist landscape group. In 2021 he was awarded the Fenton Medal and honorary life membership for “outstanding contribution to the work of the society”.

Frodsham is located between Chester and Warrington just off the M56 – Junction 12 for those travelling from the north and Junction 14 for those coming from the west. We meet on the ground floor of Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham, WA6 7QN. The building is fully accessible and there is a large car park.

Tickets for the talk cost £5 and are available online from Frodsham.eventbrite.co.uk. Doors open at 7:15pm. There will be an interval with tea and biscuits available.
