At the recent L&CPU AGM, Henry Mullarkey was enrolled onto the Roll of Honour by the retiring President, Garth Tighe.

Henry has been a long-standing member of the L&CPU Executive Committee and served as President in 2012 and 2013. In addition to the ‘top job’,  Henry has worked tirelessly for many years helping members with their APM applications, helping organise L&CPU events and drive the Federation forward. Garth comments “if there’s a job that needs doing, Henry will be there and when exhibition stands need moving, Henry is the first to head off and get a van”. Henry is also heavily involved with AV, both with the L&CPU and the Great Northern AV Group. Henry’s entry to the Roll of Honour was met with wide acclaim by the membership as he retires from the Executive Committee.

Also retiring from the Executive Committee was Norman Thompson, who has served on the L&CPU Exec since 1992. Norman

was President of the Federation in 2008 and 2009 and has worked extensively on behalf of the L&CPU and its members for over 20 years. Garth presented Norman with a cut glass award to recognise his long service.

On behalf of all the members in all the clubs in the L&CPU, we thank both Norman and Henry for all their hard work on our behalf.
