2018 GB Cup Results

Open Section

We’re pleased to announce that L&CPU clubs did well in the 2018 PAGB GB Cup. Results announced yesterday showed Wigan 10 third, and Chorley PS and North Cheshire joint seventh in the Open section.

Nature Section

Chorley came first and Wigan 10 second in the Nature section, with Poulton-le-Fylde and the Evolve Group joint sixth, and Mid Cheshire Camera Club joint tenth position.

So 2018 is upon us and we are already looking forward, once again, to hosting the North Cheshire Challenges at our Civic Hall, Poynton venue. These two major inter-club competitions take place during the week of our Annual Exhibition in March, as usual. We are delighted to have secured the services of two leading judges: Tom Dodd will be commenting on, and marking all the prints submitted for the Alan Adshead Memorial Trophy competition which takes place on WEDNESDAY 21st MARCH and John Cartledge will comment on all the DPIs as he eliminates them round by round in the knock-out battle for the North Cheshire Challenge Trophy on THURSDAY 22nd MARCH.

L&CPU Annual Club Print and PDI Competitions

The L&CPU Annual Club Print and PDI Competitions will be held over the weekend of 3rd and 4th March 2018.

The venue for this year’s competition is:

Culcheth Community Campus
Warrington Road

This is a new venue; It’s a tiered theatre with seating for 250.

With this new venue, it is our hope we can fill the theatre with a good audience of your members, and for them to experience the judging process.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., on each day this competition is open to all.  Just turn up on the day.  (Pdi Saturday/Print Sunday)
