Chester Photographic Society starts the 2017-18 season at the Grosvenor Museum on Tues 5th September 7.30pm with In My View by Christine Widdall MPAGB EFIAP FBPE. Visitors most welcome at any of the meetings– Admission £4.

CPS, in support of the Chester Civic Trust, are holding an exhibition of Prints and DPI’s featuring Conservation Areas across Cheshire West from 14th September to 7th October at the Weslyan Centre, St John Street, Chester – Mon-Sat 10am-4pm, Admission Free.

Why not make a day of it in Chester combining this Exhibition with two other major events: the largest sculpture exhibition in the North West – ARK- at Chester Cathedral, and Pop Art in Print at the Old Chester Library. (more details at http://www.visitchester.com).

Zed Nelson HonFRPS will be visiting the Grosvenor Museum on Tues October 24th at 7.30pm.to present “Gun Nation” – the anatomy of a long-term project. This is a photographic depiction of those in the USA ,who despite the terrible events that sometimes happen there, still support the principle of gun ownership. Nelson’s work has been exhibited at Tate Britain, the ICA, the National Portrait Gallery, and is in the permanent collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum. Tickets for this event are £10 including refreshments and will be on sale from our first meeting or contact publicity@chesterps.org
